And yet filled with hope. I wrote this poem many years ago while staring out at the water during a wicked storm and feeling like I had the weight of the world on my shoulders, my duty seemed to be crushing me. I updated the poem and added photographs on Remembrance Day 2014 as a tribute to all those who serve. I wrote this poem in honour of all those that have served, and those that continue to serve. Those that serve either by going away to serve, or by staying home. Those that serve in times of peace, and times of war.
