It was surprizingly not what I thought it was but a very humorous mysterious interracial love story. The extended family created by friends was heartwarming. it was a beautiful incorporation of religious concepts but didn't come across as preachy. This hero in this book has overcome his hatred of all things not white-skinned, with a black wife and not a lot of discourse from his group, which is optimistic. He seems to have it all, but hey this is why I read books! I love the heroine, her life story is gripping with hard and soft elements alike! I like how religion and spirituality is in the book, but still have steamy scenes... I mean that's how the world is populated right!
