Pharaoh Memnet is about the lives of the Egyptian Royal Family during the time of the Exodus of the Hebrews from Egypt. It is written from the point of view of the Egyptians, with a Preternatural twist to it, bringing the secrets of Ancient Egypt and its ensuing enmity against the Hebrews into our modern times with the reemergence of Pharaoh Memnet who is indwelt with the Fallen Angel, Essence! As a side note, Paranormal or Preternatural tales require a suspension of the 'that can't be real' mentality. I will make Books 1 and 2 of this Series free for a limited time, in December, as it takes some time to follow the story. Parts of it are real, historical facts, parts pure fiction, you have to figure out which is which. I have written this series from the point of view that readers are familiar with the Genesis account of the Hebrew Exodus, and they have some knowledge of Egyptian history, which is still being discovered and changes made to their records. This book has been significantly edited. Other books in the series have also been edited, and the first part of Pharaoh Memnet's story culminates in Ramesses - Book 5: Obsidian Heart. Books 6 and 7 begin the Preternatural tales of Gaelin: Princess of Oaths and Covenant Dread: The Goblin King will follow. What have Essence's progeny been up to during his long sleep? Asked to flesh out some of the preternatural characters that I have written about I aim to please, so stay tuned for updates as to their release dates. Amazon 5 Star Review from Reader -Rosie S Phillips-, April 6, 2014 First off, this book was given to me for an honest review, which is what I will give. I can honestly say that this book kept me engaged throughout, though at certain points was so intricate that I was slightly confused. Still, the characters were interesting, and the setting was believable, though I would caution the author to research the setting a little more, I could see that research was done. I particularly liked the pharaoh, and I thought he was well developed. I also liked that the author had a variety of themes, combining the past with the present, ancient pharaohs, magic! It was all very interesting, thought again, at times I was a bit lost because the story was so intricate. Overall, I thought the story was well thought out and well executed. The author did a great job on all the characters, the setting, and the different other worldly events that occurred in the story. In short, I would recommend this story and this author. Amazon 4 Star Review from Reader -All That Jazz Readers-, April 20, 2014 I figured out that Ronin Schtihl Daire is a pen name for Trisha A. Lindsey. This book is nothing like her Josef and Blair series, it's still pretty good though! I always wondered why there's no record of the Hebrews being in Egypt for 400 years, if she is gonna give us a reason, I'll read on. I only gave it 4 stars, cause I didn't want to leave Egypt, I know it's a time travel book, but I really like Ramesses! His sister, Nefer-Tati would be like a black Angelina Jolie. And I am glad her Egyptians are dark skinned. Ramesses is light like his Mother Nefer-titi. I hope she explains why some parts of her history are true and some have twists. I looked a few things up and love how truth is blended in here!
