What a tragedy it is that a holy relic of more than 2000 years old ends as an object to raise some money in an auction. How heinous and horrible it would have been, if Caiaphas was joined by Hitler, Eddi Ameen and Barabbas in an onslaught against Jesus and his followers. About 2000 years ago in Judea and Galilee a punishment for adultery was stone to death. Was there such a charge against Mariam from Caiaphas and his followers compelling Joseph to admit that Jesus was his own son and not God's son? Although Nicodemous and Ahub are friends of Lazarus they are terrified of him as he is one who is raised from death. The anger and hatred of Pharisees and Sadducees for Christ and his late object of miracle Lazarus are unlimited. Hence Lazarus sisters do not allow him to go out of the compound. He is at a loss on account of that confined life. He assures them that Christ will not have raised him from death if he is to be killed shortly. But to the distress of all who love him after the news of crucifixion of Christ, Lazarus disappears Almost after 2000 years another Veronica, aged around 40, in the same family of Veronica of Jerusalem. Deserted by her husband and the children she lives alone in her centuries old house. Once her three children, who have been living with their father, visit her. They believe that their mother is the cause of all their miseries and afflictions. They tell her that their immediate concern is money and for that they demand that handkerchief which has the image of blood stained face of Christ. As she rushes to save the box which has the holy relic, a blow from the hammer falls on her head. Unfortunately what the children find inside the box is an old piece of white cloth with no stain or mark. To the joy of Veronica where as to the terror of the three children, a blood stained image of Christ appears on the handkerchief. . The first scene is a large visiting room in the house of Caiaphas. Many elites of the time are assembled. They opine that since their freedom from the slavery of Egypt they never have confronted a problem as dangerous as that problem-the challenge that is posed by Jesus Christ. They feel Jesus is against them as he is against concentration of wealth and he is against sin and hypocrisy. With multitude of people always with Jesus, it is impossible to launch an assault up on Jesus. They think the people are with him on account of their faith that Jesus is the son of God. They assume that this perception could be well refuted by his own father, Joseph. In the second scene it is the attempt by them to persuade Joseph to admit that Jesus was of his own blood. The main characters in the play are persons called Caiaphas, Hilter, Ameen, Barabbas and Gorbachov. In a cave in the night they are planning prosecution of Christians. They want the mighty and aggressive power, cruelty and speed of Barabbas to be used against the Christians and thus terrify the whole population However towards the end we realize that his heart is with the Christians. He has been rendering help to the prosecuted Christians covertly. God is born as an infant On the scene is a bedroom of a Roman Army general in Jesus period. They are discussing about the birth of Jesus Christ. They feel that they are lucky to have Jesus in their period. They assume that being a general, Judiath's husband, Cleetas, will be deputed for the security of Jesus. And then all of sudden Mosses, Cleetas younger brother, rushes in. He informs them that Herod has passed an order to kill all male babies in Bethlehem just to eliminate baby Christ. But they are confident that as Joel is the son of general nothing will happen. But Mosses informs them that Herod has deputed only Cleetas to see the execution of this heinous crime. At the end we see three dead bodies lying on a heap on the arm chair- that of Cleetas, Judiath and their son Joel's. They poisoned the baby and themselves before falling into the hands of Herod's order.
