A few centuries ago, there were manors in England, areas controlled by kings. These areas had defined borders. In each area, specific laws applied. These laws were inviolable and applied separately to each kingdom. The king on one of these manors, started a morning to go hunting.Near the border of the neighboring manor, he saw a deer.He tried to chase it and kill it. However, the deer moved away and headed towards the neighboring manor. The king followed him and continued to chase him, even when he had entered the neighboring manor, although he knew that whoever killed a deer on the neighboring manor, there was a law from his neighboring king, which clearly stated that the hunter, who he would kill a deer in the neighboring manor, he would face the death penalty. However, the hunter / king, took a risk and defied the risk of being arrested, since in that part of the forest there were no other people, in particular, subjects of the other manor and he killed the deer in the neighboring manor. He thought that no one would see him. However, after a short time, the forest guards of the neighboring manor showed up, arrested the king and took him to the king of their own manor, on the charge of illegal poaching, after they caught him almost "on the spot" killing the deer inside their own feud. The king of the neighboring manor, on whose territory the deer was killed, then said to the poacher king: - You know very well the law imposed on poaching in my manor. But I will give you only one chance to escape the death penalty and be released, and only if you answer correctly a question that I will ask you, within a period of one year. Do you accept or want to be killed now? he asked him. The poacher king replied: - I know that the question will be very difficult, essentially unanswered and for this reason it is better to execute me now since this law applies to poachers in your manor. The king replied to the poacher king as follows: - I repeat what I said to you for the last time: do you want me to ask you a question and if you answer me correctly within a year you will be released or killed now?The king's poacher thought that even if he did not answer correctly, he would be killed after at least a year, since of course he had not given the correct answer to the king's neighbor, so without a second thought, he said to the king: - Yes, I agree to ask you the question and if I do not answer correctly you will kill me, but if I answer correctly, I will be released from the death penalty. The king on whose manor the deer had been killed told the poacher king the following question, which had to be answered within a year: - "What is it that a woman likes most?" and then released the poacher king to return to his own manor. The poacher king who had killed the deer on the other king's neighboring manor, left and headed to his kingdom where all his subjects were waiting for him who "welcomed" him for his return and the temporary exemption from killing. But the poacher king had all his thoughts on how he could find the right answer to the question posed to him by the king of the neighboring manor, on whose territory he killed the deer.He began to ask his subjects, wherever he was, in the shops, the public markets, at the festivals, at the councils, at the gatherings, even his friends, his relatives, the wise men of his kingdom, his counselors, however, no one knew for sure the answer to the question "What is it that a woman likes best".So time passed and the poacher king became more and more anxious, until one of his subjects said to him: - My king, over there on the mountain, there is a cave, in which a witch lives. She can help you find the right answer. The poacher king, of course, did not believe his subject, but he thought: "What do I have to lose? "Let me go and find the witch."
