Seventeen year old Bing Doe was orphaned when he was a year old. He spent his childhood in an orphanage in Illinois where he met fellow orphan Norm Stickler. While other children were adopted, Bing and Norm remained. The two of them formed an alliance deeper than friendship, they became brothers. Upon graduating from high school, Norm wanted to leave Illinois and make a home in Texas to start a new life. Since Bing had no definite plans of his own, he left with Norm, and they traveled to Texas. Days after arriving in Irving, a suburb of Dallas, both teens had jobs at the same grocery store and an older rent house. Their new lives seemed to be getting off on the right path.That is until one night after work, they are driving their neighborhood in their recently purchased thirty year old car when they see a young woman being attacked by two men and a woman. Bing and Norm rushed to help the badly outnumbered woman. They are able to chase off the attackers, but both teens are wounded.What happens next forces Bing to step through The Reality Window into a world populated by the Night Breeds and the Magic Breeds. The Night Breeds are vampires and werewolves while the Magic Breeds are witches and shape-shifters. They are locked in a magically enforced truce that prevents the Night Breeds from being openly recognized by the human world. Inexplicably, Bing and his buddy Norm become pawns in the struggle between the two sides. How will Bing's existence affect the conflict between the breeds.
