Description

In this political satire, businessman David J. Tower hijacks the 2016 presidential election, but he had some help. Tower built his hardcore base of 60 million by sending out 3 a.m. Tweets. Putin used Facebook to secure the swing vote. The CIA screens for a mental disorder called the Dark Triad of Personality, but Tower trashed his intelligence agencies and neutralized that threat. Separately, a behavioral neurologist develops algorithms to prove the disorder. On his deathbed, he begs his friend, Dr. James Holt to take his message to network news. It doesn't go well; Holt becomes a nationwide laughingstock. But then the mysterious, exotic Scarlett Brunner inserts herself in Holt's life and things start popping. A secret recording appears on Holt's cellphone that implicates Tower for conspiracy to commit murder. Holt takes it to Special Counsel Robert S. Miller, III. But it is Holt who goes on trial, accused of falsifying evidence and called a traitor to his country. The burden is on Holt to prove that the recording is authentic. But will he discover what we've been told all along: Truth isn't truth?
