Set mainly in New York and Washington, "Dead Central Bankers" is the story of Kevin O'Connor, a young analyst, and veteran detective, Clinton Halloran. Board members determine the direction of short-term interest rates, which affect the rates on everything from credit cards, to mortgages, to business loans. Yet, surprisingly, these high-ranking central bankers were traveling without any security at all.Dr. Abelsohn dies in New York on Good Friday 2015. Dr. Strauss dies in Paris a few days later. Nobody suspects foul play until Clinton and his colleagues start to investigate. They try to discover the linkages, with Kevin serving as an eager young assistant. The trail takes them to the Middle East, a failing bank in Europe and the murky world of powerful industrialists who seemingly will do anything to get what they want. For some people, everything is never enough, but for Kevin, it is rather simple. Someone murdered his professor and mentor, and he is determined to discover why.
