It is early spring in 2222. The judges think highly of his essay, which makes some of his classmates more motivated than usual to taunt and torment him. Unfortunately, the essay is not the end of the road. There is a lengthy training program, which consists of three elimination rounds over several weeks. Who will be the final four on the shuttle to the spacestation? First, they learn the basics of space flight. Second, they practice living in a microgravity environment. Third, they learn how to skydive. The training is challenging but Spencer is up to it. He endures the taunts and plots of the meanest kid in school, and succeeds.The shuttle launch goes off without a hitch and the family is together once again, this time onboard Spacestation Zebra."Spencer Dolby Goes to Space" is the story of a boy who believes in himself and works hard to achieve his dream of spending the summer with his parents.
