Jack showed no interest in politics and avoided politicians, until now.At first, he tries to persuade senior lawmakers to implement policies that would encourage businesses to remain in the country. They brush him off, they mock him, and so he decides to do something on his own to help the forgotten men and women of Roseland. He decides to run for the leadership of one of the two major parties. With the assistance of a campaign manager who practices disruptive politics and with his family behind him, Jack builds a movement on a promise to bring jobs back home. The party and media elite are not on his side. They try to block him at every turn, but his supporters, tens of thousands of them, stick with him. "The Outsider" is the story of a billionaire with a heart who captures the imagination and affection of a nation.
